Michail is a Greek citizen, is fluent in both German and Greek, and was born in Hannover, Germany. In 2006, he moved to Greece, where he still resides. Michail holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Hellenic Open University and a Master's degree in Intelligent Information Systems from the University of the Aegean.
He has more than fifteen years of professional experience in software development, mentoring and teaching, information and telecommunication technologies. Michail has acquired this knowledge over the years in small and large German and Greek companies. There among other things, he developed real-time applications for the quality assurance, software for monitoring the speed of elevator and escalator controls, maintenance software for service departments, and graphical user interfaces for production lines. Furthermore, Michail has experience in developing VR applications, which he gained through projects in Udacity's Virtual Reality Nanodegree program.
After finishing the course, he was hired as an online mentor and worked in that role for two years. Since 2021, Michail has been teaching computer science full-time at both vocational and high schools. However, his passion lies in software development, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and computer vision. In his free time, he is constantly learning new software technologies by reading books and participating in online courses and projects. To improve his knowledge in computer vision, he enrolled in the OpenCV University CVDL Master Program, one of the top online courses for gaining a solid understanding of the field. In the course, students are taught university-level theory and gain hands-on experience by working on real world projects.
