Remote Measurement Data Acquisition over the Intranet
(German UI)
Project Overview
Designed and developed a client-server user interface on Windows Server to perform remote GSM mobile network signal quality measurements. Utilizing a Wavetek Stabilock 4032 Communications Analyzer interfaced directly with the server and test hardware, the system executed background monitoring via a custom DLL loaded at system startup. Acquired measurement data was transmitted across the intranet of the State Engineering School of Hannover (Germany) to authorized client endpoints, which rendered real-time diagnostic telemetry on a web interface with configurable polling intervals.
Purpose
The primary objective of this project was to enable real-time, remote telecommunications diagnostic monitoring across an institutional network without requiring localized physical access to the measurement hardware. By decoupling the heavy hardware-interfacing layer on the server from light web-based client viewers, the application allowed researchers and operators to observe live GSM signal quality parameters safely and conveniently from any connected workstation.
Key Features & Capabilities
- Hardware integration with the Wavetek Stabilock 4032 Communications Analyzer for automated GSM signal quality measurement
- Background monitoring engine compiled as a DLL for low-overhead execution on Windows Server
- Automated intranet data broadcasting from the central server to multiple authorized client endpoints
