Monitoring System for Multiple Light Barrier
Introduction
This project is an extension of the Monitoring System for Light Barriers project were light barriers could be monitored for errors, before they got shipped to customers. The project was carried out in 2003 at the company Rudolph Logic Systems GmbH located in Hildesheim-Germany. The company was dealing with the development and production of electronic assemblies for customers in the fields of measurement, safety, lighting, telecommunication technologies, control systems as well as sensor technology.
Purpose
The system was used by the quality assurance, which provided the possibility to connect multiple monitoring light barrier devices, to monitor their behavior over a period of time, before they got shipped to customers. This was necessary due to legal requirements for electronic safety devices. The application was included the following options:
Saving each individual monitoring test
Enabling and disabling the transmitter or receiver
Setting up the simulation interval ran continuously (running in a loop from the first light barrier on, running once or continuously without jumping back to the first light barrier
