Error Simulation System for Elevator Control Devices
Introduction
In this project a professional error simulation system was developed, to observe the behavior of elevator control devices produced. The project was carried out in 2004 at the company Rudolph Logic Systems GmbH located in Hildesheim-Germany. The company was dealing with the development and production of electronic assemblies for customers in the fields of measurement, safety, lighting, telecommunication technologies, control systems as well as sensor technology.
Purpose
The system was utilized by the quality assurance to simulate different kinds of errors. In addition, the system included a hardware test device that was also developed, to provide the possibility testing the light barriers in real time. The tests the operator could perform were:
If the Self-check of the device passed
Checking the relais (i.e. output)
Monitoring the output of the optocoupler component
Enable/Disable drive protection
Memory error test
Reset the device
Testing different RPMs
Enabling/Disable sensors
Testing different frequencies
Speed simulation
All options were executed by specific error codes
Development
Windows NT 4.0
Visual Studio 6.0
MPLAB IDE from Microchip
C++, Assembly, MFC library
Microchip PIC18F452 micro-controller
Language of the user interface: German
